BGG opens Swiss office to serve growing European market

Beijing Gingko Group (BGG) has opened an office in Switzerland and taken on ex-Indena global marketing chief Christian Artaria to run the operation.

The Chinese firm has been growing its European business and employed local partners as its European revenue accounts for 15% of its turnover. The 20-year old firm has grown in US and Asian markets and has a base in California and Tokyo.

Artaria, BGG Europe CEO and global chief marketing executive said he was “extremely excited and honored to be given the opportunity to lead the European business of BGG.”

“My unwavering priorities will be to grow BGG’s business and to use all my experience and energy to help write the next chapter of BGG Group.​”

BGG Group chairman and founder Chunhua Li added: “We are implementing the global growth strategy of the group and the opening of the European affiliate will play an important role in our future growth.​”

Artaria's previous experience included sales and marketing initiatives but also business development, licensing and ingredient development.

The Swiss-Italian holds a Master of Science from Milan Polytechnic.

"It's an exciting time to be joining BGG Group, with company growth consistently hitting double digits for years and attaining an international reputation for quality ingredients,"​ he said. "I look forward to helping BGG Group in establishing an even stronger corporate identity globally​”.

BGG supplies botanical extracts, algae extracts, vitamins, sweeteners and flavours across the food and nutrition, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries.
