DKSH to push PolyCell barley beta-glucan products to global market

Related tags Nutrition Beta-glucan

Marketing group DKSH has gained distribution rights to the barley
beta-glucan products developed by US firm PolyCell for use
functional foods and supplements.

Oat beta-glucans are increasingly well-known for their health benefits. Like oats, barley also contains this soluble dietary fibre source shown to lower cholesterol and improve glycemic control. Polycell says its barley beta glucan is a unique product in terms of its bland neutral taste and its excellent functional properties for many applications. DKSH will offer Polycell's two branded barley beta glucan products: BBG Concentrate with more than 23 per cent beta glucan and Glucagel with a beta-glucan level of more than 75 per cent. Both products are non GMO and manufactured using natural processes. External links to companies or organisations mentioned in thisstory: DKSH
